A Juicy Note For You
I just want to send a quick note to you and share something that I've been working on recently that I'm really excited about. Over the past couple of months, I have been scatterbrained, and I know I mentioned that I was working on a course to help designers develop case studies for their portfolio websites. Now, I have started to work on turning that case study curriculum into a web app, which will help you generate full case studies through the help of AI and some information from you, the designer. I'm still working on it and trying to make it as easy and simple to use as possible, but I'm making really good progress. I'm hoping to share the prototype with you very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more to come soon.

Mastering the Art of Minimalist Portfolio Design
Tracy Chen
More designers are linking directly to their products from their portfolio websites. While I'd like to see more context, the quality of the linked products often speaks for itself. The brand names can tell you a lot about the designer's experience. I really like Tracy's portfolio website. It has a cool horizontal scroll that leads to a nice bio. This section tells you what she's doing, where she's working, and what interests her. It gives you a feel for her personality and what it might be like to work with her. Tracy also includes links to her resume and a blog with some visual experiments. These extras give more depth to who she is as a person, which is great since we only get to meet her online. This approach helps showcase a designer's work and personality in a simple but effective way.
